Automations
Scheduled payments, Auto-save and rules that run by themselves, each bounded on chain by a grant you sign once with Face ID.
Automations are where an agent earns its keep: things that should happen without you opening the app. Every automation runs unattended, but inside an on-chain grant you sign once — so even Kawase itself cannot make it do more.
Scheduled payments
"Every Friday at 9 send 10 dollars to Alex." Kawase reads it back with the next runs and the maximum it could ever move, then you turn it on with one Face ID. That signs the automation's own grant: it may only transfer that token, only to Alex's address (pinned on chain), and only up to the amount per period. Schedules: every day, every week on a weekday, or every month on day 1–28, in your own time zone.
Each run happens exactly once: if Kawase's server restarts mid-run, the run is recovered under the same id, never paid twice. A run that can't go ahead (not enough money, over a limit) is skipped with a reason in your inbox.
Auto-save
"Keep 100 dollars in my wallet and save the rest." Auto-save keeps that amount ready and moves anything above it into your own vault savings (see Earn); when your wallet drops below the line, it tops it back up from savings. It checks daily and whenever money arrives. Its grants only allow moving USDC between your wallet and your own savings — never anywhere else.
Rules
"When my balance goes above 500, bridge what's above 400 to my Base address." Rules have:
- a trigger: the balance goes above or below an amount, or money arrives (optionally from someone, or at least an amount);
- an action: bridge USDC to your own address on another network (the route fee is capped on chain), save it into your vault, or just alert you;
- an amount: what is above a line, a share of the money that arrived, or a fixed amount.
A balance rule fires once per crossing and re-arms when the balance goes back.
Managing them
From the Automations screen or in chat: list, pause, resume, skip the next run, and cancel. Cancelling also revokes the grant on chain, so the permission is gone, not just hidden.
Automations
What runs today
- scheduled sends of a fixed amount of USDC or EURC to one saved recipient, every day, week (on a weekday) or month (on day 1–28), bounded on chain to that recipient and amount per period
- Auto-save: keep an amount ready in the wallet and move the rest into the person's own vault savings, topping the wallet up when it drops below; checked daily and whenever money arrives, bounded on chain to the wallet and its own savings
- rules: when the balance goes above or drops below an amount, or when money arrives (optionally from someone, or at least an amount) — bridge USDC to the person's own address on Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon or Avalanche (route fee bounded on chain), save it into their own vault, or alert them; amounts: what is above a line, a share of the money that arrived, or a fixed amount; balance rules fire once per crossing
- listing, pausing, resuming, skipping the next run and cancelling (with a revoke on chain)
Not yet
- rules that send to someone else, swap, or act on a price (price-triggered swaps, DCA)
- payroll and multi-step rules
- practice mode (what a rule would have done)
- editing an automation in place (cancel and set it up again for now)
